We started sailing on the Chesapeake Bay near our home in suburban Philadelphia. In 2003 we cruised the waters of the Pacific Northwest and have gone back once or twice every year since.

Up to now, we have always chartered for two reasons. Owning a boat did not make much sense if we could only use it a few times a year and we were not certain of the boat we wanted.

This website is all about our decision to purchase a boat, the process itself and the continuing story of boat ownership.
